Historical outline:
Former name: Boberstein
It is not accurately known when Bobrów Castle was erected and by whom. One sources hold that it came into being in the XIVth cent., another ones – in the XVth cent. There even occur those ones who would like to associate its beginnings with the XIIIth cent. but it is very unlikely. The stronghold appeared in the documents from 1450 for the first time. Latter fates of the castle are unknown. It is only known that in the XIXth cent. ensued a thorough reconstruction or there was rebuilt a palace totally anew existing until today. At present the building is a private property and its rebuilding proceeds.
