Driving directions:
Driving from Kamienna Góra down the road no 367 towards Wałbrzych you drive through Czarny Bór. There just before the bridge over the river you ought to turn left. This is the Zamkowa St., by which in a distance of approximately 200m there is a clump of trees on the right side, among which the castle tower is hidden.
Historical outline:
Former name: Schwarzwaldau
The castle in Czarny Bór was presumably erected about a middle of the XIVth cent. by the duke Bolko II of Świdnica-Jawor. The stronghold became a property of knight families before 1374, and in 1509 it was already destroyed and it has never been rebuilt again.
