Driving from Chocianów down the road no 331 towards Polkowice you cross the place with a graceful name Parchów. Just beyond the board with the name of the place you need to turn right for Jędrzychów and sticking to the road arrive in the village. There by the main road, on the right side stands a very old church, which was the castle before.
Attention! Do not confuse with the manor which is located on your way earlier.
Historical outline:
The castle in Jędrzychów was raised in 1319 on the initiative of the duke Henryk I, and then it was taken over by the duke Jan of Głogów. Latter fate of the stronghold perish in the dark of history. It is known, however, that it was destroyed twice during the Thirty Years’ War. Later on the castle was rebuilt and was allotted to Evangelical church. The tower standing nearby was erected in 1884, whereas in 1903 the monument was refurbished. During the World War II the construction was demolished and has remained in ruin up to this day.
