Driving directions:As to reach Wieruszyce you have to go down the road no 966 from Wieliczka for Gdów and Łapanów. In Gdów follow on the road no 966 and head for Tymowa. Having passed Łapanów you need to turn left to Sobolów. Driving on straight ahead, you cross Wieruszyce. Past the board with the name of the place there is a bridge, and just past it diverges a narrow asphalt lane to the left. You have to turn into it and begin climbing uphill. At the crossroads you need to turn right and after driving up the very hilltop, on the right side of the road there is an iron gate with the inscription "Private grounds". That is an entrance to the manor, to which the path behind the gate leads.
Historical outline:A defensive manor in Wieruszyce was put up in the middle of the XVth cent. by the Wieruski family of the Szreniawa coat of arms. Already in the beginning of the XVIth cent. the first reconstruction of the manor was held, after which in the latter years the next ones were conducted. In the middle of the XVIIIth cent. the building became the property of the Ołtarzewski family, and in the XIXth cent. performed the function of a granary. Until the World War II the manor was changing its hands even twice, as to become no-one’s ruin after its ending. In 1981 the building was bought by a private person, thanks to whom is slowly regaining the former glory.
