Driving directions:Driving from Czchów down the road no 75 towards Nowy Sącz, in the place Tęgoborze, right before the church you must turn to the right. You must drive all the way long down that street as far as the board with the name of the place “Zawadka” (Tęgoborze ends further. Right past the board you have to turn left into a narrow asphalt lane and drive straight ahead along it through about 1,5 km. If on the way we admit that we are already at the crossroads, then we must turn to the right at it That way you will come to the end of the asphalt at the top of a precipice where you need to swing around. Then after traveling around 300 m, you have to turn into the first street to the left, to someone’s house and to the left again, this time into a ballast road. After you reach the crossroads you may park your car under the tree and walk to the right all the time along the field road. After around 10 min. you come to the barrier (en route the ruins of the barn) and there on the left there is the Zamczysko Mountain with the grod we are looking for.
Historical outline:Historical records mention the Lemiesz Castle, which was located somewhere in Dunajec valley. Unfortunately, it is not exactly known where that there castle was. There are suspected places like Białawoda and Tęgoborze. It is known, however, that at the peak of the Mountain of Białowoda, also called Zamczysko, there is the grod. Perhaps this was the very place where the Lemiesz Castle stood.
