Driving directions:Driving down the road no 830 from Kazimierz Dolny for Lublin, about 2km beyond the town there is a fork of roads no 830 and 824. Exactly at that place on the right side of the road there is a well, and behind it, a narrow, field road, which looks like an access to the estate. A green and blue trail lead, along which you must follow, first down the field road, and later down the stone-paved one all the way long to its end. When sett ends, past the last house on the right side you have to walk up the hill down the path to the right to the forest (a green trail). After about 5 minutes of climbing a path branches off the trail to the left, which leads next to a commemorative plaque. That path leads uphill to the left to the ruins of the castle.
Historical outline:The first references to Bochotnica appear in the historical records from 1317, while the earliest information on the castle come from 1399. In this year the stronghold changed its owner, whom became Klemens from Kurów of the Szreniawa coat of arms. The following owners of the castle were the Zbąski family, the Oleśnicki family and the Samborzecki family. The further history of the stronghold is unknown.
