Driving directions:Driving from Świdnica to Wrocław down the road no 35, in Wojnarowice you must turn right to Rogów Sobócki. After you arrive at the place and direct towards Sobótka, the tower of the church (look at picture no 3) will be visible from a distance. Right behind it there is an entrance to the former PGR (state-owned farm) area. There the castle stood.
Historical outline:Former name: Schloss Rogau
A Renaissance castle in Rogów Sobócki was erected in the second half of the XVIth cent., and next it was reconstructed on several occasions. It took place for the first time in the years of 1760-1780, and then again in 1860. Yet at the beginning of the XXth cent. the castle was teeming with life, nevertheless the World War II led it to ruin it remained until 60s of the XXth cent. Later it was disassembled, however its trace did not completely vanish. In addition to a few stones, which have endured in the place of existence of the castle, the part of the building is found in…walls of 2 houses in neighboring Ręków. The houses stand by the Parkowa St. and were made of stones coming from the demolition of the castle.
