Only remainders of the walls have preserved of the tower

The entrance to the tower remainders area is free of charge

There is no parking lot in the neighborhood, and what is worse, there might arise difficulties with legal car parking

The ruins stand by the main road, but are concealed in the thicket that is why you need to look for them attentively

To reach the walls you must go downhill from a steep but not high embankment, through which the road runs

Driving directions:
Driving from Bolesławiec down the road no 297 towards Jelenia Góra you would cross Brunów. There, past the bridge, you must turn right for Brzeźnik. After reaching Rakowice Wielkie you ought to keep driving along the main road, drive past the first of the towers standing on the right side of the road and drive on through Rakowice. After you cross a railroad track, at the curve of the road you have to look out for the walls of the tower on the right side.

Former name: Wenig Rackwitz
On the grounds of present Rakowice Wielkie existed two residential towers. The first of them is depicted here: Rakowice Wielkie. The second of the towers served as the seat of ducal grange and sprang into existence the most probably at the start of the XVIth cent. After 1945 the construction suffered destruction and for security reasons, its larger part was dismantled. Only the ground walls have remained up to this day.
