Driving directions:
To arrive at the place Czemierniki, the simplest way is to set out from the palace in Kock and drive straight ahead. Since by the parking lot exit by the church there is no entry sign, you need to circle the parking lot, and next drive straight ahead all the way long. In Tarkawica you must turn left towards Babczyzna and straight on as far as Czemierniki. There beyond the church you ought to turn left for Radzyń Podlaski and at the Y-shaped crossroads drive to the right. At the end of the road, to which you turned, you should turn right to the main road, by which there is a palace on the left side.
Historical outline:
Czemierniki appeared in the historical sources for the first time in the years of 1326-1327 and presumably from the beginning it belonged to the Firlej family of Lewart coat of arms. In 1509 the village obtained the civic rights, and in the years of 1617-1624 Henryk Firlej built a defensive mansion there. After the Firlej family the owners of demesne in Czemierniki were the Humięcki, and then the Krasiński families. Both families carried out conversions of the palace, which up to this day has survived in its entirety.
