Driving directions:Kamieniec Ząbkowicki lies 8 km on the south east off Ząbkowice Śląskie. If you enter the town down the road no 382 from the side of Paczków, you ought to turn right towards Ziębice and past the sports field turn right again into the by-road. At the end of it there are parking lots. Then you need to go along the forest path up the hill, by which there is a sign "No vehicles" (that is the white circle with the red border ;-). At the end there is the castle.
Historical outline:Attention! The castle in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki was built in the XIXth cent. and was placed on this page exclusively thanks to its own beauty. Normally such "new" buildings are not described here.
In 1096, in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki, Brzetysław Czeski built the castle, which then was captured by Bolesław Krzywousty and deserted. The present pseudo-Gothic castle came into being in 1838. During The World War II was looted by the Soviet army, and the part of marbles can be found in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. Allegedly exists the underpass between the castle in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki and the castle in Ząbkowice Śląskie.
