Driving directions:In the south-eastern part of the Świętokrzyskie Province lies a place Staszów. Driving from that Staszów down the road no 765 to Szydłów, in the place Kurozwęki you have to turn right for Kotuszów, and then turn right again acc. to the road sign towards "Pałac/Hotel"
Historical outline:The first mention of the castle in Kurozwęki appeared in written documents in 1400, however its erection was ascribed to the castellan of Cracow, Dobiesław, who held his office in the years of 1381-1395. Dobiesław’s descendents were the owners of the castle until 1521, when it came along with the town into the reign of Lanckoroński line. In the years of 1752-1833 the owners of the castle were Sołtyk family, and then till 1944, Popiel family. Over a span of centuries the castle was converted many times. Currently after a long break, it is Popiel family’s property again, who renovate it with the intention of transformation into a hotel.
