Driving directions:Driving from Lwówek Śląski towards Niwnica, just beyond the town you need to turn right for Nowogrodziec. After covering a few dozen kilometers you arrive in Gościszów, in which you need to keep the main road all the time. The ruins of the castle are situated on the right side by that road, however, earlier you will surely notice standing ruins of the Evangelical church directly opposite (picture no 2).
Historical outline:Former name: Giessmanndorf
Castle in Gościszów was put up at the end of the XIIIth cent. and already in subsequent centuries was extended. The next reconstruction took place around 1603. It was carried out by married couple Kacper von Warnsdorf and Helena von Sedlitz giving the castle the character of the palace. The following construction works were conducted in the XVIIIth cent. by von Bibran. The building was burnt in 1945 and after preservative works from 1965 is has remained a solid ruin.
