Finding the structure is facilitated by Głogowska Tower (picture no 1) which in the own center is visible from afar

Góra lies close to the boundary of the Lower Silesian and the Greater Poland provinces. If you enter the town down the road no 324 from Rawicz you have to make for the center where you need to turn left into the road no 323 towards Luboszyce. From there you ought to head for the Netto supermarket, by which there are remnants of the castle. If however the store was liquidated, you would have to drive down the main road all the time, which meanders in the shape of the letter S. At the sharp turn to the right, directly opposite behind the buildings there are the tower and the castle.

Former name: Guhrau
The town Góra was located in 1289 and possessed a brick castle. The only reference to the defensive construction originates in 1409, therefore it is assumed that it was erected at the turn of the XIVth and XVth cent. It is assumed that the remainder of the castle is a ruined building of the prison, into which the castle was converted in the XIXth cent.
