Driving down the road no 335 from Chojnów to Lublin, in Trzebnice you need to turn left towards Chocianów. After entering the village Chocianowiec turn left towards Raków (at the very turn there is a cross) and reach a junction, at the middle of which the second cross stands. There you must park, and the ruins are located in bush on the right side.
Historical outline:
The first castle arose in Chocianowiec in the XIIIth cent., however the ruins that have survived up to this day are the remainder of the castle from the XVth cent. The rebuildings from the XVIth, XVIIIth and the XIXth cent. were supposed to give it a modern appearance as for those times. In 1917 became the Rittenberg family’s property, and since 1935 the residence of Employment agency was there. War damage caused that since 1955 the building has ceased to be utilized and has been falling into ruin.
