Ruins of the castle in Lipa have not been the subject of research so far, that is why its history is little known. It was constructed at the end of the XIIIth or at the beginning of the XIVth cent. and in the subsequent centuries it was converted as well as presented the source of building materials. In 1834 the surrounding lands were purchased by count von Stillfried-Rattonitz, who reconstructed the castle in the neo-Gothic style. After the World War II an abandoned castle started deteriorating and since the 70s of the XXth cent. it is the private property again.
